USET, FBCCI IRC sign MoU to boost industry–academia collaboration

The University of Skill Enrichment and Technology (USET) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the FBCCI Innovation and Research Centre (FBCCI IRC) to promote collaboration in education, research, innovation and skill development.
Professor Dr Engineer AKM Fazlul Haque, vice-chancellor (designate) of USET, attended the signing ceremony along with Md Jashim Uddin, chairman of FBCCI IRC, and Mostofa Azad Chowdhury Babu, senior vice-chairman of FBCCI IRC. The MoU was signed by Mossarraf Hossain, registrar of USET, and Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, CEO of FBCCI IRC, on behalf of their respective institutions.
The programme was also attended by entrepreneurs from private institutions, banks, NGOs, former ambassadors, managing directors, professors and senior citizens.
The MoU outlines joint initiatives such as research collaborations, industry innovation projects, skill enhancement programmes, internships for outstanding students, and the organisation of seminars, workshops and training. It also focuses on developing joint academic programmes and creating platforms to encourage entrepreneurship and student engagement in industry-driven innovation.
Speakers at the ceremony said the partnership would help bridge the gap between academia and industry while preparing students with the skills and exposure required to thrive in the future workforce.
They added that the agreement marks an important milestone in preparing Bangladesh for the Fifth Industrial Revolution, where human skills, innovation and technology converge to create new opportunities. By nurturing skilled graduates and future-ready professionals, USET and FBCCI IRC aim to equip the next generation with the knowledge and adaptability to lead in this new era.
This partnership is expected to create meaningful opportunities for innovation and research that contribute to Bangladesh's vision of building a knowledge-driven economy.
