Citizens Bank partners with Bangladesh Bank to support women entrepreneurs
Citizens Bank PLC has signed a partnership agreement with Bangladesh Bank under the "Refinancing Scheme for Women Entrepreneurs in Cottage, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (CMSMEs)" at the central bank's head office recently.
Alamgir Hossain, Managing Director of Citizens Bank PLC, and Muhammad Mustafizur Rahman, Director (Current Charge) of SME & Special Programmes Department (SMESPD) at Bangladesh Bank, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organisations.
The ceremony was attended by Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Nurun Nahar and Executive Director Husne Ara Shikha. Citizens Bank Deputy Managing Directors Md Mostafizur Rahman and Md Abdul Latif, along with senior officials from both organisations, were also present.

Under the agreement, women entrepreneurs in the SME sector of Citizens Bank will be able to access low-cost financing facilities through Bangladesh Bank's refinancing scheme.
