BNP, NCP hold meetings with European parliamentary delegation
Delegation of the BNP and the National Citizen Party (NCP) held separate meeting with visiting representatives of the European Parliament in Dhaka today (27 September).
The BNP's meeting took place at BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia's political office in Gulshan, beginning at 10am and ending at 11:10am, according to BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan.
The European parliamentary team included election observation and follow-up experts Riccardo Chelleri, Mette Bakken and Manuel Wally, along with Baiba Zarina, Deputy Head of Delegation of the European Union Mission to Bangladesh.

Representing the BNP were Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan, Salahuddin Ahmed, Advisory Council member Md Ismail Zabihullah and Organising Secretary Shama Obaed.
Later in the day, the NCP's meeting was held at the party's office in Banglamotor.
The NCP delegation included Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary, joint conveners Sultan Mohammad Zakaria, Khaled Saifullah, and Tajnuva Jabeen, joint member secretaries Alauddin Mohammad and Zahirul Islam Musa, and Joint Chief Coordinator Navid Nawroz Shah.
The meeting discussed the country's electoral situation, the prospects of election observation activities, and the current political context, according to NCP.
