Position: Manager – Internal Audit

Responsibilities & Context

The Manager – Internal Audit will oversee the factory internal audit function and team, develop and execute audit plans, ensure robust internal controls, compliance, and operational efficiency, identify risks, recommend corrective actions, and drive process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Audits and Planning

• Develop monthly, quarterly, and annual internal audit plans covering production, procurement, inventory, HR, and compliance functions.
• Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls in factory operations.

Compliance and Risk Management

• Ensure adherence to company policies, SOPs, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Verify compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards (e.g., kiln emissions, hazardous materials).
• Identify risks, gaps, and non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective actions.

Operations and Process Checks

• Audit procurement processes, including purchase rate analysis, quotation comparison, and local purchase verification.
• Verify inventory management through physical stock counts, raw material consumption, and finished goods movement.
• Check the accuracy of production records and review production processes.
• Verify civil construction and maintenance works, including measurement sheets and work completion certificates.
• Review payroll, overtime, and labour cost controls.

Reporting and Improvements

• Prepare audit reports highlighting findings and recommended corrective actions.
• Provide practical recommendations for process improvements, waste reduction, and cost savings.
• Report audit findings to concerned departments and perform other tasks assigned by the Head of Department.

Education Requirements

• Master of Business Studies (MBS) in Accounting or Finance, or a Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional certification (CA, CMA, ACCA, or partly qualified) will be considered an advantage.
• Prior experience in manufacturing or factory internal audits in tiles/ceramics is preferred, with a minimum of 3 years in a managerial role.

Experience Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience.
• Applicants should have experience in Manufacturing (FMCG), Group of Companies, or Tiles/Ceramics sectors.

Skills & Expertise

• Audit reporting, cost control, internal audit and compliance, financial audit.
• Inventory audit, ERP software, Tally Prime, quality control inspection.
• Leadership, teamwork, planning, and execution.
