Neighbour nation's meddling in Bangladesh's matters a significant challenge, Jamaat chief tells Chinese delegation
Jamaat Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Porwar clarified that no other internal political matters were discussed during the meeting
Zhou Pingjian, vice president of the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA), met with Jamaat-e-Islami Ameer Dr Shafiqur Rahman at the party's central office in Dhaka today (September 25).
During the courtesy call, the Chinese delegation engaged in discussions with Jamaat leaders focusing on regional cooperation, trade relations, and Bangladesh-China friendship, according to Jamaat Secretary General Professor Mia Golam Porwar.
They discussed challenges Bangladesh is currently facing, to which Shafiqur identified interference from a "neighbour nation" in Bangladesh's internal matters as a significant challenge.
Porwar made the remarks as he briefed the media about the courtesy call.
Additionally, he clarified that no other internal political matters were discussed during the meeting.
