Dead body of expat worker in Malaysia brought back to country

Al Amin went to Malaysia six years ago in the hope that he would improve the financial condition of his family. But before he could fulfill his dream, he have had to return home as a dead body. His family is now mourning over his death.

The deceased Al Amin, son of Hossen ali, was a resident of Moukhali village in Munshiganj union under Shyamnagar upazila of Satkhira. His body reached his village on Monday noon.

Abdus Salam, brother-in-law of Al Amin said Al Amin went mentally imbalanced after the coronavirus pandemic started. He went missing on June 28 from his Cousin Mojaffar Hossain's house in Malaysia.

"He could not be found despite a lot of searching. Later, news came of him being killed by a road accident. His body was found at a morgue of a hospital," Abdus Salam said.

Al Amin's father Hossen Ali said, "I sent my son to Malaysia by taking a loan, hoping he would bring prosperity to the family. My son worked at a saloon there. After paying back the loan, Al Amin said he would work there for some more days."

"He said he would start business after coming back to the country. But everything is finished now," Hossen Ali added.

Abul Kashem Morol, chairman of Munshiganj union said Al Amin's burial was completed on Monday in his home.

Officer-in-Charge of Shyamnagar Police Station, Najmul Huda said no one informed the police about the incident.
