Banglalink reinforces ESG vision with nationwide sapling distribution

Banglalink has partnered with Prokriti O Jibon Foundation for "Sobuje Sajai Bangladesh," a tree plantation and sapling distribution campaign taking place over one month, across 57 districts.
The initiative, aligned with Banglalink's Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) agenda, aims to raise environmental awareness and encourage community participation in greening efforts. To date, trees have been planted in 45 districts, including a major plantation drive in Uttara, with over 62,400 saplings distributed nationwide. The campaign will conclude on 15 September after covering the remaining districts.
Jahrat Adib Chowdhury, Deputy CEO of Banglalink, said: "At Banglalink, we view environmental responsibility as a vital part of our ESG strategy. Supporting tree plantation drives goes beyond planting saplings—it means uniting communities, raising awareness, and securing a sustainable future for the next generation."
Abdul Muqeed Majumdar Babu, Chairman of Prokriti O Jibon Foundation, added: "It is about nurturing awareness, inspiring our youth, and cultivating a culture of responsibility for a greener tomorrow."
In Uttara, about 100 Banglalink employees joined students, city officials, and club members to distribute and plant saplings, making the event a collaborative celebration.
