Dan Brown returns with new Robert Langdon thriller

After an eight-year gap, bestselling author Dan Brown is bringing back his famed symbologist Robert Langdon in a new novel titled 'The Secret of Secrets', set for release on 9 September.
This marks the sixth installment in the blockbuster series that began with Angels & Demons in 2000 and last continued with Origin in 2017—the longest hiatus in the franchise so far.
Langdon, made globally famous by Tom Hanks' portrayal in the film adaptations of The Da Vinci Code, Angels & Demons, and Inferno, remains one of modern fiction's most recognizable characters. Ashley Zukerman most recently played the role in Peacock's short-lived TV adaptation of The Lost Symbol in 2021.
Though no adaptation has yet emerged for Origin, Netflix announced in May that 'The Secret of Secrets' will be developed into a television series. Carlton Cuse—best known for Lost, Bates Motel, and The Strain—will serve as showrunner. Casting for Langdon is still unconfirmed, and a premiere date has not been revealed.
