Community Bank joins Bangladesh Bank’s startup refinance scheme
Community Bank Bangladesh PLC signed a participatory agreement with Bangladesh Bank to join the Startup Refinance Scheme.
As a result, innovative and potential startups will have increased access to financing support under the central bank's refinancing programme, potentially accelerating their growth and development.
This scheme provides startups with access to low-cost funding, simplified loan terms, and advisory support, aiming to promote entrepreneurship, create employment opportunities, and contribute to sustainable economic growth.
Nurun Nahar, Deputy Governor, and Husne Ara Shikha, Executive Director of the Bangladesh Bank, attended the signing ceremony.
Muhammad Mustafizur Rahman, Director (current charge) of SMESPD, Bangladesh Bank, and Kimiwa Saddat, Managing Director (current charge) of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC, signed the agreement.
They represented their respective organisations at the Jahangir Alam Conference Room of the Bangladesh Bank.
Also present were key officials from Bangladesh Bank and Community Bank Bangladesh PLC.
