Bangladesh now stands at threshold of potential bull market: EBL Securities
The initiative has been reintroduced under the guidance of senior management as part of the company’s ongoing efforts to build financial literacy among investors.

Bangladesh's capital market is on the verge of a potential bull run, backed by improving macroeconomic indicators and growing investor confidence, Mohammad Rehan Kabir, head of Research at EBL Securities said today (31 August).
He made the remark at an event titled "Investor Awareness Program" held at EBL Securities head office in Motijheel.
The event conducted by the EBL Securities Research Team, was aimed at enhancing investor knowledge, promoting informed decision-making, and encouraging long-term participation in the market.
The initiative has been reintroduced under the guidance of senior management as part of the company's ongoing efforts to build financial literacy among investors.
Delivering the keynote presentation, Rehan Kabir highlighted key aspects of the country's economic and market outlook.
He discussed the current macroeconomic scenario, recent market developments, investment strategies, risk management techniques, and the benefits of long-term investment in fundamentally strong stocks.
In his address, Kabir drew comparisons with regional peers, noting how easing inflation and falling treasury yields in Pakistan and Sri Lanka had sparked strong rallies in their respective markets.
He said Bangladesh was showing similar signs of resilience. "The capital market of Bangladesh is well positioned to mirror the trends experienced in Pakistan and Sri Lanka, where easing inflation and declining treasury yields triggered strong market rallies.
With improving macroeconomic indicators, Bangladesh now stands at the threshold of a potential bull market," he observed.
The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where participants engaged directly with the research team on investment opportunities, sectoral prospects, and emerging risks. Members of the team, including Rashadur Rahman Ratul, Rayhan Ahmed, AKM Arif Uzzaman, and Zuhaier Shams, joined Kabir in addressing the queries.
EBL Securities also reaffirmed its commitment to holding similar programs at regular intervals to empower investors, build stronger financial literacy, and support the sustainable development of the capital market.
