Zakir Ahmed and Tofazzal Hossain allegedly insulted and threatened Nasir Uddin verbally and forced him to leave the school

A former teacher has filed a case against the chairman of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) and six others, accusing them of illegally removing him from his post.
The case was filed today (19 August) with the court of Assistant Judge Devi Rani Roy in Dhaka's Keraniganj. The court set 26 August for a hearing on whether the case is admissible.
The teacher, Nasir Uddin, is a former faculty member of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman High School in the Aganagar area of Keraniganj.
The other accused are former school governing-body president Zakir Ahmed, Principal Tofazzal Hossain, his wife and teacher Rasida Akter, the deputy regional education officer, the Dhaka district education officer, and the upazila secondary education officer of Keraniganj.
Lawyer Ariful Islam confirmed the information on behalf of the plaintiff.
According to the case statement, Nasir Uddin was appointed as a social science teacher following a recruitment advertisement published on 3 March 2005. He passed the written and viva exams on 18 March and joined as an assistant teacher on 20 March. He continued his service until 2011.
Zakir Ahmed and Tofazzal Hossain allegedly insulted and threatened Nasir Uddin verbally and forced him to leave the school. On 22 March 2013, an advertisement was published in a newspaper, and Rasida Akter was appointed to the post.
The case statement also says that documents related to Nasir Uddin's appointment were forged to show Rasida Akter's recruitment and include her in the MPO.
