Afterwards, Bangladesh Ambassador to China Mahbub Uz Zaman read out the president's message and Deputy Chief of Mission Masudur Rahman read out the message of the prime minister.

The ambassador said, "The skills and the life story of Sheikh Kamal will always be a source of inspiration to the youth."

He also mentioned that after independence, Sheikh Kamal played a strong role in the development of football, hockey, cricket and other sports in the country.

Speaking about Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, Mahbub Uz Zaman said, "Everyone respectfully remembers Bangamata's taking a bold step against the parole in the Agartala case. The nation will forever remember with gratitude the inspiration and encouragement of Bangamata behind the historic speech given by Bangabandhu on March 7."
