July 16, 2024. University student Abu Sayeed stood in front of the police in Rangpur with his chest outstretched. The police shot at him. This incident accelerated the student-public movement. Ultimately, the Awami League government fell. The then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was forced to leave the country.
