Utshob rises to top three Bangladeshi films in North America

Tanim Noor's 'Utshob' has had a strong opening in North America, rising to the top three highest-grossing films in North America in its opening week.
The film outperformed 'Priyotoma', becoming the second-highest first-week grosser among Bangladeshi films in North America with over Tk11,000,000. It currently sits behind 'Hawa' (over Tk33,000,000) with 'Priyotoma' (over Tk10,000,000) close behind.
Executive producer of 'Utshob', Rumel Chowdhury, confirmed the news, saying, "The film is currently screening in the US, Canada, and Australia. It has already become the second-highest-grossing Bangladeshi film abroad. We're hopeful the numbers will continue to rise. We are now working on arranging screenings in several Middle Eastern and European countries as well."
He continues, "We felt quite disappointed with the initial results of 'Utshob' after its domestic release. But now, we are seeing a rise in local audience, as well as overseas."
'Utshob', inspired by Charles Dickens' 'A Christmas Carol', tells the story of Jahangir who goes through a life-changing experience as he encounters the spirits of his past.
The film boasts a star-studded cast, including Zahid Hasan, Jaya Ahsan, Chanchal Chowdhury, Aupee Karim, and Tariq Anam Khan.
