Uttara Motors launches SML ISUZU GS super trucks in Bangladesh

Uttara Motors Limited, the sole importer, manufacturer, and distributor of SML ISUZU commercial vehicles in Bangladesh, has introduced two new models — the SML ISUZU GS Super 14 and GS Super 17 trucks — to the local market. The official launch event took place at the Uttara Motors Display Centre, located beside Uttara Centre at 101, Shahid Tajuddin Ahmed Sarani, Tejgaon, Dhaka.

The trucks were jointly unveiled by Mr. Matiur Rahman, Chairman and Managing Director of Uttara Motors Ltd., and Mr. Mashfiqur Rahman, Planning & Development Engineer. Brig Gen Mohammad Yusuf (Retd), Chief Operating Officer of the SML Division, senior officials of Uttara Motors, distinguished customers, corporate representatives, authorised dealers, and other well-wishers were present at the event.

The SML ISUZU GS Super trucks feature robust Japanese technology, equipped with a powerful and fuel-efficient 101 horsepower diesel engine, 315 Nm torque, manual transmission, power steering, and full air brakes. They are available with two cargo body options — 14 feet and 17.2 feet — and two payload capacities of 3,502 kg and 3,100 kg, respectively.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Matiur Rahman highlighted that since 1993, Uttara Motors Ltd. has successfully marketed various models of SML ISUZU trucks, buses, pickups, and tippers in Bangladesh, earning a strong reputation for quality and service. He reaffirmed Uttara Motors' commitment to delivering international-standard products and after-sales services through its 15 branch offices and authorised dealers across the country.

As part of the launch, keys of the GS Super 14 and GS Super 17 trucks were handed over to early buyers. An exhibition of SML ISUZU trucks and buses will be held at the Uttara Motors Display Centre from 22 to 24 June 2025, between 10:30 AM and 5:00 PM.
