Cattle farmers made good profit during Eid: Adviser Farida
She acknowledged that lack of required experience caused some problems in rawhide preservation despite the supplies of salt free of cost on government’s behalf

Cattle raisers or firm operators made good profit due to higher sales of sacrificial animals during the Eid-ul-Adha this year, Fisheries and Livestock Adviser Farida Akhtar said today (15 June).
"No cattle were imported this year," a ministry statement quoted the adviser as saying while exchanging Eid greeting with her ministry officials and employees at her office.
She said the ministry and particularly the livestock department supported the cattle raisers and farm owners throughout the past year resulting in adequate production of sacrificial animals.
Farida, however, acknowledged that lack of required experience caused some problems in rawhide preservation despite the supplies of salt free of cost on government's behalf.
She said rawhide price too was not as high as expected but it was comparatively better than any previous years.
