IFIC Bank hosts ‘Cluster Financing 2025’ workshop

IFIC Bank has organised a day-long workshop titled "Cluster Financing 2025 – Munshiganj," held at a convention centre in Munshiganj Sadar. The workshop was conducted under the directive of Bangladesh Bank and based on the theme "Integrated Development and Financing."

This collaborative event brought together 32 government and private banks with a shared vision to enhance financing opportunities for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) through the cluster-based approach.

The event was presided over by Mr Md Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director and Chief of Branch Business at IFIC Bank. Mr Ataul Goni Osmani, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) of Munshiganj, attended as the chief guest. Distinguished guests included Mr Mohammad Kazi Humayun Rashid, Additional Superintendent of Police (Admin and Finance), Munshiganj Zilla Police; Ms Jannatul Ferdous Tania, Joint Director, SME and Special Programs Department of Bangladesh Bank; and Mr Mohammad Golam Rabbani, Assistant Director from the same department.

Delivering the welcome address, Ms Ferdousi Begum, Head of SME & Retail Products at IFIC Bank, set the tone for a day focused on fostering sustainable SME growth. In his speech, Mr Rafiqul Islam emphasised, "Cluster financing carries a transformative message for the country's SME sector."

IFIC Bank served as the lead bank for this important initiative, marking another milestone in its commitment to supporting grassroots entrepreneurship and inclusive financial development in line with national policy directives.
