Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman of the High Court Division has been removed from his position as a judge.

The removal order was issued yesterday (21 May) by the Ministry of Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, under the directive of the president.

The official notification, signed by Law Secretary Sheikh Abu Taher, states, "In accordance with clause (6) of Article 96 of the Constitution of Bangladesh, the president has removed Justice Khandaker Diliruzzaman from the position of judge of the High Court Division of the Supreme Court, effective from 21 May 2025."

However, the reason behind his removal was not disclosed. 

Khandaker Diliruzzaman was appointed as an additional justice of the High Court division on 31 May 2018. He was then promoted as a justice of the High Court division on 30 May 2020.
