Islami Bank’s clients win refrigerators for sending remittances

Mst Hamida, a client of Tanbazar sub-branch under Nitaiganj Branch, Narayangonj, Md Ayakub, a client of Agent Outlet under Parshuram SME Branch, Feni and Ozifa Khatun, a client of Agent Outlet under Sitakunda Branch, Chattogram, won refrigerators in the 1st week's draw of Islami Bank-Western Union's month-long Eid remittance campaign. 

They won the prize through a digital draw in the presence of Md Omar Faruk Khan, the bank's Acting Managing Director, on Monday, 12 May 2025, at the Islami Bank Tower for remittances from Mauritius, Oman, and Qatar. 
Md Rafiqul Islam, deputy managing director; Md Motahar Hossain Mollah, head of Foreign Remittance Services Division; Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, head of the Overseas Banking Division of the bank; senior executives and officials of the bank's head office and senior officials of Western Union were present.

 A total of 12 refrigerators will be given away through a digital draw, three per week, to individuals who send remittances via Western Union to Islami Bank from any country in the world until May 31, 2025.

Additionally, 50,000 remittance beneficiaries will receive backpacks from branches, sub-branches and agent outlets.
