ACC sues Matarbari road project director over Tk30cr illegal wealth, Tk127cr suspicious transactions

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a corruption case against Jahangir Alam, the project director of the road section of the Matarbari coal-based power plant.
Jahangir has been accused of acquiring illegal wealth worth around Tk30 crore and conducting suspicious transactions of over Tk127 crore through his bank accounts, a senior ACC official confirmed the matter to The Business Standard today (13 May).
