Police have arrested five members of a gang within 24 hours for attempting robbery by blocking the Mawa Expressway in Sreenagar, Munshiganj.

Video of the robbery had gone viral on social media. It showed a car's path blocked by a fallen tree. Suddenly, a man emerges from the side brandishing a locally-made weapon. Other men also show up from both sides, with one even throwing a weapon as the car begins to speedily back away.

Many praised the driver for their quick thinking and fast manoeuvre.
