Man arrested for extorting money in front of Dhanmondi Ibn Sina Hospital
Police also mentioned that Ashraful's political identity was not important and that he was arrested after they received a complaint about the incident

Police have arrested a man for extorting money from people in front of Ibn Sina Hospital in Dhanmondi's Jigatola.
A case is being filed against the accused, identified as Ashraful, Assistant Police Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police's (DMP) Dhanmondi zone Shah Mostafa Tariquzzaman confirmed the matter to The Business Standard today (16 April).
Police also mentioned that Ashraful's political identity was not important and that he was arrested after they received a complaint about the incident.
The incident came to light after a video in front of Ibn Sina Hospital in Jigatola went viral on social media yesterday (15 April).
In the video, a man inside a car was heard asking the accused why he was charging money. In response, the man said, "Yes, I am doing it. Is there any problem?"
A woman, also present in the car, was heard asking for the name of the accused. In response, he said, "What will you do with my name?"
The video further shows the man inside the car saying, "I parked my car on the road and I'm having to give him extortion money for that."
Seeing that he was being recorded on video from inside the car, the accused said, "My face looks good…You won't be able to touch even a single strand of my hair." Later, he left the scene.
