Action will be taken against any Hajj agency found harassing pilgrims, Religious Affairs Adviser AFM Khalid Hossain said today (6 April).

"If any agency is found guilty of mismanagement or corruption in Hajj operations, immediate investigation and strict action will follow. We will not tolerate any shortcomings in serving the pilgrims," the adviser said in response to a question from journalists after a visit to an under-construction model mosque site in Cox's Bazar's Ramu.

He assured that the ministry is maintaining continuous communication with all concerned agencies to ensure smooth and efficient services for this year's Hajj pilgrims.

While inspecting the site, he expressed dissatisfaction with the slow progress of the mosque's construction and instructed the relevant authorities to complete the work within the next three months.
