DU retakes traffic control inside the campus

In the interest of overall safety of the students, Dhaka University authorities will retake the control of traffic movement in the campus from Monday, restricting movement of public transports.

This information was given in a notice from the office of the university proctor today (6 April).

On Fridays, Saturdays, and holidays from 3pm to 10pm, and on office working days from 6:30pm to 10pm, vehicles without Dhaka University stickers — except emergency services (ambulances, doctors, patients, journalists, ride-share, food delivery vehicles, online shopping carriers, and other government vehicles) — will be restricted from entering the campus through the entry points (Shahbagh, Doel Square, Burn Unit, Shivbari Crossing, Fuller Road, Palashi Intersection, and Nilkhet).

However, public transport and heavy vehicles will remain restricted at all times.

The authorities said based on the opinions, suggestions, and the real situation, the above decision may be re-evaluated from time to time.
