Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister of Thailand Paetongtarn Shinawatra on the sidelines of the sixth Bimstec Summit in Bangkok today (4 April).

Earlier in the day, the Chief Adviser and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi joined a bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the Bimstec Summit.

Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam confirmed the matter to BSS.

Prof Yunus is also scheduled to hold a number of bilateral meetings with Bimstec leaders, including Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay and Myanmar Prime Minister Min Aung Hlaing, on the sidelines of the summit today.

BIMSTEC Secretary General Indra Mani Pandey will also meet the chief adviser.

Thailand's Minister for Social Development and Human Security (MSDHS) Varawut Silpa-archa and Thailand's Minister attached to the Prime Minister's Office Jiraporn Sindhuprai called on Prof Yunus yesterday (3 April).

Prof Yunus arrived in the Thai capital on Thursday to join the 6th Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi-Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation (Bimstec) Summit.
