Just days after National Citizen Party (NCP) Chief Organiser (North) Sarjis Alam faced backlash for holding street rallies in various upazilas of the Panchagarh with more than a hundred cars, the party's Member-Secretary Akhtar Hossain has now held rallies using over 200 battery-run vans in Rangpur.

Akhtar visited Rangpur today (27 March) for the first time since being elected as the member-secretary of NCP.

He began his campaign around noon along with party leaders and activists at various places in Deuti, Syedpur, Kadamtala, Pirgachha, Nek Mamud (Tambulpur), Paotanahat, Bhaierhat in Pirgachha upazila and Tepamadhur of Kawnia upazila.
