Festive season approaching as country prepares for long Eid holidays
Out of the 11 days from 26 March to 5 April, offices will be open for only two days, once prior to Eid and once after.
The country is set to go on a long vacation mode as the upcoming Eid-ul-Fitr holidays will be celebrated for almost over a week.
Government employees will have the opportunity to enjoy a long five-day holiday during Eid, as per a previously declared schedule.
In addition to which, there are other holidays, including Independence Day, Shab-e-Qadr, and the weekend.

As a result, the country will go into a long holiday mode. Only two out of eleven days before and after Eid will have office hours.
Depending on the moon sighting, Eid-ul-Fitr might be held on 31 March, based on which, the Ministry of Public Administration set the holiday dates.
According to this, the five-day holiday for Eid will start from 29 March till 2 April.
Among these days, Eid day will be a public holiday. The two days before Eid and the two days after Eid will be government holidays by executive order.
Independence Day is on Wednesday (26 March). The following day is a working day. Then comes Friday (28 March), a general weekend. Shab-e-Qadr is also to be observed on that day.
After the holidays, offices will reopen on 3 April.
The next two days will again be weekend, Friday and Saturday.
That means, out of the 11 days from 26 March to 5 April, offices will be open for only two days, once prior to Eid and once after.
According to the holiday regulations, there is no rule to take casual leave between two holidays. If taken, it will become a continuous leave. However, there is an opportunity to take earned leave.
