A total of 5,500 volunteers will work with the Dhaka North City Corporation to create public awareness on preventing the breeding of Aedes mosquitoes ahead of the rainy season, said Dhaka North Administrator Mohammad Azaz.
"There is no alternative to public consciousness in mosquito control. So, we will give the highest importance to raising public awareness," he said today (17 March), while speaking at a roundtable meeting held over preventing dengue.
Besides, modern mosquito-killing traps will be set up in public spaces under Dhaka North City Corporation, he said.
