Tk 17 lakh was stolen from an account holder from inside Saheb Bazar corporate branch of Agrani Bank in Rajshahi on Monday afternoon.

Abdul Mannan, assistant general manager of Agrani Bank, said, "We saw in the CCTV footage that the customer was writing the voucher with the bag at his feet in front of the counter. At that time four people came and stood beside him. One of them bent down and stole the bag. Law enforcement is investigating the matter."

Nibaran Chandra Barman, the officer in charge of Boalia Police Station, said, "We have seen CCTV footage of the bank and found evidence of the bag being stolen. The customer told us that he had Tk 17 lakh in his bag. We are investigating the matter."
