Govt sets cold storage rent for potatoes at Tk6.75/kg

The government has set the maximum rent for storing potatoes in cold storages at Tk6.75 per kg.
The decision was announced today (2 March) through an official order signed by Mohammad Reza Ahmed Khan, deputy director of the Department of Agricultural Marketing.
Agriculture ministry Senior Information Officer Jakir Hosain confirmed the matter to the media.

According to the official order, "Under Section 16(b) of the Agricultural Marketing Act, 2018, the Department of Agricultural Marketing has set a maximum storage rent of Tk6.75 per kg for potatoes in various cold storage facilities across the country."
