National Bank's annual general meeting held

The 40th and 41st Annual General Meetings of National Bank Limited were held on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at a convention centre in Dhaka.

 The meeting was presided over by Abdul Awal Mintoo, Chairman and Sponsor Director of the Bank. Also present were Moazzam Hossain, Vice Chairman and  Sponsor Director; Zakaria Taher, Chairman of the Risk Management Committee and Director; Muklesur Rahman, Chairman of the Executive Committee and Independent Director; Md. Abdus Satter Sarkar, Chairman of the Audit Committee and  Independent Director; Md Zulkar Nayn, Independent Director; Professor Dr Melita Mehjabeen, Independent Director; Sheikh Akhter Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director (Current Charge); Deputy Managing Directors and the esteemed shareholders of the bank. 

The financial statements for 2022 and 2023, the appointment of auditors, and other scheduled agendas were approved during the meeting. The shareholders thanked the Board of Directors and the Management for organising the physical Annual General Meeting instead of a virtual one. 

Additionally, the shareholders expressed their expectations that the National Bank would soon regain its old glory and be able to declare dividends to the shareholders at the next Annual General Meeting.
