NSU social service club distributes winter clothes in Sreeemongal

The North South University Social Services Club has successfully organised its annual event, "XVinter Clothing Drive 2024," which aims to share warmth and comfort with underprivileged families in rural areas of Sreemangal.

The event started with the unwavering dedication of 2504 club members to encourage and collect donations of warm clothes and blankets from enthusiastic students, faculty, and staff across the university. This collective initiative spread the joy of giving and sharing, resonating among everyone on campus.

On 26th December 2024, these collected items, warm clothing from the university grant, and an impressive amount of new cosy blankets were transported to Sreemangal, Moulovibazar, Sylhet by a team of 40+ club members. The distribution event was carried out at Sindurkhan Ragan, South Par, Medical Playground, ensuring that about 100() vulnerable families facing harsh winter conditions received the much-needed relief-

The club's Faculty Advisor, Meshbaul Hassan Chowdhury, commended the club members for their unwavering commitment to social welfare and acknowledged their dedication as a key factor in the success of the "Winter Clothing Drive 2024." Gratitude was also extended to the North-South University authority for their generous contributions, transforming the event into a memorable celebration of compassion, unity, and community spirit.

North South University Social Services Club started in 1994 as a student organisation at North South University. Its motto is serving society and encouraging students to develop social responsibilities.
