Workers of Antim Knit Composite staged demo for arrears in Narayanganj

The workers of Antim Knit Composite Ltd of Narayanganj on Monday staged a demonstration rally in front of the district press club, demanding payment of dues for three months, withdrawal of false cases against them and reinstatement of laid-off workers.

Abu Naeem Khan Biplob, president of Socialist Workers Front Narayanganj district, Selim Mahmud, president of Garment Workers Front Narayanganj district and many others spoke in the protest rally.

They said when the workers of Antim Knit Composite protested for their unpaid wages, the company owner filed false cases against 650 workers.

More than three hundred workers have been fired without paying their dues, who are living an inhuman life, they added.
