Bangladesh's leading global electronics manufacturer Walton received orders worth Tk350 crore at the Advanced Technology Solution (ATS) Expo 2024 organised by the company in Dhaka from 5 to 7 December.

Walton Managing Director Mahbubul Alam made the announcement during the closing ceremony of the expo that took place at the Bashundhara International Convention Centre in the capital.

Sheikh Bashir Uddin, adviser to the ministries of commerce, and textiles and jute, was present on the occasion as the chief guest. Commerce Secretary Selim Uddin was present as the special guest.

Speaking on the occasion, Bashir Uddin said, "Walton's journey is ongoing and the destination is far away. Insha'Allah, the company will go even further. Walton is an organisation that we can be proud of as a nation."

The adviser also said, "We need to reduce our expenses further with the target of LDC graduation that is going to happen in 2026, so that foreign currencies can be saved more."

Stating that the interim government's objective is to "establish justice", Bashir said, "The main task of the government, which was achieved in exchange for 2,000 martyrs and 30,000 injured, is to reform. This is a short-term government."

At the expo, Walton showcased over fifty thousand industrial materials, components, testing solutions, other services, and advanced electronics and electrical appliances.
