NBR extends deadline for taxpayers facing e-return system issues
Previously, the deadline for submitting such applications was set for 31 October
The National Board of Revenue (NBR) today (30 October) extended the deadline to 15 November for individual taxpayers to seek permission to file their income tax returns online if they encounter technical issues with the e-return system.
Previously, the deadline for submitting such applications was set for 31 October.
According to an order signed by NBR Chairman Md Abdur Rahman Khan, any individual taxpayer facing difficulties in filing income tax returns online due to registration-related issues in the e-return system may submit a written application to the respective deputy tax commissioner stating the specific reasons for their inability.
Upon receiving the application, if the relevant additional tax commissioner or joint tax commissioner grants approval, the taxpayer will be allowed to submit a paper-based return instead.
