Position Overview
RDRS Bangladesh seeks an experienced, visionary, and values-driven female Head of Human Resources to lead and transform the HR function. As a senior leadership team member, the incumbent will drive people-centred strategies, foster a culture of excellence and inclusion, and ensure HR systems align with RDRS's mission and organisational needs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Leadership
- Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with RDRS's mission, values, and strategic objectives.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on organisational development, change management, and workforce planning.
- Lead initiatives for organisational culture transformation, staff wellbeing, and gender equity.
- Promote digitalisation and automation of day-to-day HR activities across the unit and organisation.
- Update and refine HR policies, structures, systems, and processes to improve organisational efficiency, in coordination with SMT and guidance from the Board of Trustees.
- Oversee data-driven decision-making by adopting monitoring frameworks, HR dashboards, and conducting internal HR audits.
- Ensure safeguarding systems are strong, survivor-centred, and responsive in coordination with safeguarding focal points.
Talent Management
- Oversee full-cycle talent management, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, learning and development, and succession planning.
- Build a robust talent pipeline and retention strategy to support programme excellence.
HR Operations and Compliance
- Ensure effective implementation of HR policies, procedures, and systems in compliance with local labour laws and donor requirements.
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, and disciplinary procedures with fairness and transparency.
Capacity Building and Leadership Development
- Promote a culture of continuous learning, capacity building, and leadership development across the organisation.
- Design and deliver training programmes in collaboration with internal departments and external partners.
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
- Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels of the organisation.
- Create safe, respectful, and inclusive workplaces free from harassment and discrimination.
Qualifications and Experience
- Master's degree in any discipline or MBA from a reputed university, with a major in Human Resource, Management, Public Administration, Marketing, Psychology, Anthropology, or related field.
- Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) in HR is an advantage.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role, preferably in development, corporate, or NGO sectors.
- In-depth knowledge of Bangladesh Labour Law and HR best practices.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and management skills.
- Proven ability to lead organisational culture initiatives in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in both English and Bangla.
