Grade: Vice President to Senior Vice President

As the organisation continues to grow and enhance its operations, it is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join as the Head of Credit Cards under the Retail Financial Services Division.

Position Overview
The Head of Credit Cards will play a crucial role in shaping and executing the company's credit card business strategy. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in the credit card market. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the credit card business and operations, developing strategies to optimise credit card business growth, and managing key relationships with clients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive strategies in shaping the credit card business landscape to achieve organisational goals.
• Develop marketing strategy, product design, pricing and propositions for credit card products.
• Oversee the daily operations of the credit card department, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with other departments to align credit card business strategies with overall business objectives and financial goals.
• Acquire new credit card merchants and maintain existing merchants by offering lucrative features for end users.
• Liaise with Visa and Mastercard authorities to remain conversant with emerging trends and leverage relationships to the institution's advantage.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and regulatory bodies with deep stakeholder insights.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team within the department.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant professional certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the credit card business, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing successful credit card business strategies.
• Strong understanding of the credit card market and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
• Experience in managing and developing high-performing teams.
