Position: AGM/DGM - P&D (Planning & Design) (Structural Engineer)
Responsibilities & Context
- Design structural elements for buildings and infrastructure
- Perform structural analysis for load-bearing capacity (dead, live, wind, seismic loads)
- Select suitable construction materials (concrete, steel, timber, etc.)
- Prepare and review structural drawings and specifications
- Ensure structural designs comply with relevant codes and standards
- Supervise construction activities to ensure adherence to structural plans
- Inspect site conditions and resolve technical issues during construction
- Ensure quality control of materials and workmanship
- Approve reinforcement details, concrete mix designs, etc.
- Conduct site visits and inspections as required
- Collaborate with architects, MEP engineers, and project managers
- Prepare structural calculation reports and design documentation
- Submit drawings and documents for regulatory approval
- Support cost estimation and structural budgeting
- Maintain detailed records of design changes and construction progress
- Use structural analysis and design software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAP2000)
- Draft and model using AutoCAD, Revit, or other CAD/BIM tools
Education: Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Civil Engineering
Experience
- 12 to 14 years
- Experience in the following business areas: Advertising Agency, Newspaper/Magazine, Real Estate, Group of Companies, Developer
