Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed wins 2019 Nobel Peace Prize

Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali has been awarded this year's NobelPeace Prize for his efforts to achieve peace and international cooperation, and in particular for his decisive initiative to resolve the border conflict with neighbouring Eritrea.
The Norwegian Nobel Committee made the announcement Friday.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, who clinched a peace deal last year that ended two decades of hostility between former arch-enemies Ethiopia and Eritrea.
But his tendency to bypass government institutions, relying heavily on personal initiative and charisma to drive through change, rankles some at home, officials and diplomats say.
