After hitting a 37-month low in the previous month, general inflation rose to 8.36% in September, up from 8.29% in August. Both food and non-food inflation edged up slightly, with food inflation rising to 7.64% from 7.60% and non-food inflation increasing to 8.98% from 8.90%.
