A Letter of Credit (LC) is a bank-issued guarantee that ensures a seller receives payment from a buyer, provided the terms and conditions of the LC are fully met. In Bangladesh, LC settlements totalled $69.46 billion in FY2024-25, an increase of 4.18% from $66.67 billion in FY2023-24.
