Dhaka Division gets almost half of total remittances earnings in H1 of FY26

Bangladesh's remittance inflows surged by 18% in the July-December period of FY2025-26, reaching $16.3 billion, up from $13.8 billion in the same period of the previous fiscal year. Meanwhile, at the district-level, Dhaka alone also accounted for nearly two-fifths of the total remittances, representing 38.7%, which amounted to $6.2 billion.
