Two-day BUP Mediacomm Summit concludes

The BUP Media and Communication Club wrapped up its flagship two-day event, BUP Mediacomm Summit 2025, held on 30 June and 1 July at the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). The summit brought together some of the country's leading media experts, rising content creators, and enthusiastic students for an engaging exchange of ideas, skills, and experiences.
The event commenced with a special "Star Talk" session titled "Legit Adda," hosted by Ayman Sabit from Legit Banda and featuring education entrepreneur Ayman Sadiq. The lively conversation explored personal branding, the role of education in the digital age, and the sweeping impact of social media on the younger generation.
Later in the day, two interactive workshops were conducted. In the "Content Creation" session, Nasir Tamjid guided participants through the core processes of ideation, scripting, and basic video production. Meanwhile, Shuvashish Dip led a workshop on "Fact-checking and Digital Verification," highlighting strategies to detect misinformation and strengthen media literacy.
The second day opened with a hands-on session on "Digital Content Creation," conducted by popular digital storyteller RK Sohan. Participants engaged directly with tools and techniques essential to crafting compelling digital content.
A major highlight of the summit was the panel discussion titled "Media and Communication in the Context of Bangladesh," which featured Redoan Rony, CEO of Chorki; Zahedul Islam, Head of Public Relations at Foodpanda; and Nishath Sultana Purabi, Director of Influencing Campaigns and Communication at Plan International Bangladesh. The panellists shared insights on the future of the media industry, evolving trends in brand communication, and opportunities for digital innovation in Bangladesh.
The event concluded with a closing session titled "Inside The Front Page," led by Fasbeer Eskander, Co-founder of The Front Page. In this thought-provoking segment, he discussed the inner workings of news curation, the growing influence of algorithms, and the importance of media literacy among the youth.
BUP Mediacomm Summit 2025 successfully served as a platform for learning, collaboration, and inspiration, celebrating the dynamic energy of young communicators and the transformative power of media in shaping society.
