BUP Career Club to host 8th Career and Education Fest from 23 June
Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) is set to host one of the country's most anticipated student-focused events as the BUP Career Club unveils the eighth edition of its flagship initiative—East Coast Group presents BUP Career and Education Fest 2025, powered by Mentors' Study Abroad. The three-day event will take place from 23 to 25 June on the university campus.
Renowned for bridging the gap between academia and industry, BUP Career Fest has become a vibrant platform for student engagement with educators, recruiters, and industry leaders. This year's edition promises even greater impact through wider participation and deeper discussions on career readiness, sectoral trends, and global opportunities.
Over 35 reputed organisations are expected to participate, allowing students to interact directly with employers, explore job and internship opportunities, and submit CVs. The event will feature a diverse range of companies—from multinationals and local conglomerates to emerging start-ups—reflecting the evolving landscape of Bangladesh's job market.
BUP graduates have consistently secured placements in top firms, research organisations, and international graduate programmes. Their success across sectors such as finance, development, consulting, technology, and academia underscores the university's academic rigour and the adaptability of its students, positioning BUP as a preferred source of talent among recruiters.
The event is supported by several partners, including East Coast Group (Title Sponsor) and Mentors' Study Abroad (Co-sponsor). Other sponsors include Reckitt (Event Partner), City Bank (Banking Partner), AMA Coffee (Coffee Partner), and SunQuick (Beverage Partner). The Business Standard is supporting the event as Print Media Partner, while TBS Graduates joins as Youth Engagement Partner.
The fest will be inaugurated on 23 June, with Dr Wahiduddin Mahmud, Planning Adviser to the former Interim Government of Bangladesh, attending as Chief Guest. The inaugural session will be followed by a panel discussion featuring G. M. Kamrul Hassan, CEO of Akij Infotech, Akij BPL and Akij Telecom Ltd; Sabbir Ahmed, Country Manager of Visa (Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan); and Dr Ummya Salma, Associate Professor at BUP.
A special highlight, the "Meet the CEO" segment, will feature Mashrur Arefin, CEO of City Bank, who will share insights on leadership, innovation, and the future of work.
On 24 June, students will visit company booths and attend industry-led seminars. Among the sessions are a talk by Ali Ahmmed, Chief Commercial Officer of Bkash, on fintech innovation, and a session by Sabbir Ahmed, Head of HR at Marico, on workplace culture and career growth. Mentors' Study Abroad will also conduct a seminar on international admissions, scholarships, and academic planning.
The event will conclude on 25 June with a closing ceremony featuring senior BUP officials and corporate representatives. The Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of BUP will deliver the closing remarks and present tokens of appreciation to participating partners.
Now in its eighth year, BUP Career and Education Fest continues to evolve while staying true to its core mission- equipping students with the networks, skills, and exposure needed to navigate an increasingly competitive global job market.
