TBS picks: What you should watch this Eid

Hanif Sanket's drama Sat-er Satya Samachar

Popular TV host and director Hanif Sanket has made a television drama Sat-er Satya Samachar (The True Tale of the Honest) for Eid. It will be broadcast on Eid day at 8:15 pm on ATN Bangla. 

Sat er Satya Samachar is a sequel to Sanket's drama Moner Moti Moner Goti aired on Eid last year. He made the sequel with the same characters at the request of the audience.

Sanket said Moner Moti Moner Goti portrayed some dishonest people in society, who seek to gain by capitalising on the suffering of others. The central characters of the drama were a village chairman, his ambitious wife, his brother and his brother's wife.

The chairman and his family will appear again in the sequel. Chanchal Chowdhury has played the role of the chairman, Tarin as his wife, Mir Sabbir as the younger brother of the chairman and Nadia as his wife. Saeed Babu has played the role of the chairman's brother-in-law and Subhashish Bhowmik has played a special role in the village.

Tousif Fest on Dipta TV

Seven single episode dramas starring Tousif will be aired on Dipta TV from the first day to the seventh day of Eid-ul-Fitr at 11.10 pm. Seven directors have made the dramas: Moner Moto Bagan by Mahmudur Rahman Himi, Panch Bhai Champa by Miftah Mannan, Awaaz by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy, Chance by Yasir Arafat, Hello Ladies by Miftah Anan, Toll by Mitul Khan and Pa by Mehedi Hasan Hridoy. 

Telefilm Chhok

Crime-thriller telefilm Chhok will be aired on the fourth day of Eid at 2:10 pm on Banglavision. The telefilm is written and directed by Golam Sohrab Dodul and stars Tahsan, Sporshia and others.

In this web film, Tahsan has played the character of a waiter named Babu who works in a club. But his other identity will be revealed later. Sporshia has played the role of a woman named Koli.

Anandamela in memory of Kabori

BTV's popular Eid magazine show 'Anandamela' will be aired at 10.30 pm on Eid day. Ferdous and Purnima will host the show. Actress Apu Biswas and TV star Mehzabin Chowdhury will appear with special performances. Actress Tarin will dance to the classic Bangla cinema song Se Je Keno Elo Na as a special tribute to legendary actress late Kabori Sarwar who died last month from Covid-19.

Besides, six artists from Bangladesh and India's West Bengal have composed a special song for Anandamela. Tapan Chowdhury, Kumar Biswajit and Chandan Sinha from Bangladesh and Raghav Chatterjee, Joy Sarkar and Usha Uthup from West Bengal sang the song. 

Seven new movies on Channel I

Channel I has prepared an eight-day Eid entertainment special this year featuring top producers and artists of the country. The channel will air seven new films produced by Impress Telefilm from the first to the seventh day of Eid at 10.15 am. 

Ahoto Phuler Golpo directed by Onto Azad will be aired on Eid day. Tahiya Tajin Khan, Sujan Mahbub, Ali Ahsan, Jaya Roy, Ananya Haque, Iqtarul Islam, Shanto Kundu, Shahidul Islam, Touhidul Alam, Gazi Rakayet and others appeared in the film.

Delwar Jahan Jhantu's Tumi Acho Tumi Nai will be aired on the second day of Eid. It stars Dighi, Asif Imroz, Shabnam Parveen, Subrata and others.

Unpanchas Batas directed by Masud Hasan Ujjal will be aired on the third day of Eid. The movie stars Charlene Farzana, Imtiaz Barshan, Ellora Gohar, Manas Bandopadhyay, Enamul Haque, Faria Shams Seoti and others.

Alat Chakra will be broadcast on the fourth day of Eid. The film is directed by Habibur Rahman. It stars Jaya Ahsan, Ahmed Rubel, Abul Kalam Azad, Nusrat Jahan and others.

The movie Kathbirali directed by Niyamul Mukta will be aired the next day. The film stars Archita Sparshia, Asaduzzaman Abir, Saeed Zaman Shaon, Shilpi Sarkar Apu and others.

Shahriar Nazim Joy has made the film Priyo Kamala, which will be aired on the sixth day of Eid. It stars Bappi and Apu Biswas.

'Shuttle train' will be broadcast on the seventh day of Eid. The film is produced by Pradeep Ghosh and stars Imran Hossain Emu, Indrani Ghatak, Sadia Afroj Shanta.

Gaan in Fun on ATN Bangla

ATN Bangla will broadcast an exceptionally fun show Gaan in Fun. The programme will present different forms of popular songs. Popular musicians Pratik Hasan, Kornia, Parvez, Abanti Sithi who participated in Saregama of Zee Bangla, Atiq and comedian Kajal will appear in the two-episode programme. It will be aired on Eid day and the next day at 5.50 pm. Popular comedian Abu Hena Rony will host the show.

Web series Bilap and Darkroom on Cinematic

House Cop Creation has made a dark thriller web series titled Bilap which will release on Eid. Sunny Sarwar has written the story and screenplay of the series. Sunny Sanwar and Faisal Ahmed have jointly directed it.

The directors said, "The story of the web series starts as a number of men, women and children mysteriously start to disappear from Dhaka city. Some tragic murders also take place.  The special team of the police find no clue about these crimes despite hundreds of attempts. Rahat, a sub-inspector, who is known as extremely incompetent, finds a horrible circle of assassins behind the crimes." 

Shariful Raj, Zakia Bari Momo, Shabnam Faria, Runa Khan, Lutfar Rahman George, Khairul Bashar, Majnoon Mizan, Masum Bashar, Intekhab Dinar, Joy Raj, Sampati Masuk, Dipu Imam, Ehsan Rahman, Ashraful Ashish, newcomer Pooja Cruz, Nilanjana Neela, Sumit Sengupta (special appearance) have acted in the five-episode web series.

Cinematic is also bringing web film 'Darkroom'. Chanchal Chowdhury will lead this parapsychological thriller movie, along with Tareen Jahan and Azmeri Haque Badhon. Viewers will be able to see all the leading actors in a different avatar, which they have never played before. Directed by Golam Sohrab Dodul, 'Darkroom' will release on the day before Eid on Cinematic app.
