Director Anonno Mamun said, "The movie will be released on iTheatre on 22 March. Viewers will be able to enjoy the movie by paying a certain amount of money. As there are no policy regarding OTT so there won't be any problem."

The movie stars Tariq Anam Khan, Roshan and Reilly in the lead role.

The Vice Chairman of Bangladesh Film Censor Board, Mohammed Jashim Uddin told the Business Standard the reason behind the movie on not getting passed censorship.

Jashim Uddin said, "The film portrays the whole film industry in a negative way and so we didn't give it the censorship clearance to be released in the theatres. "

"Unfortunately, we cannot do anything about the movie being released on OTT. Maybe it will get caught under any other law," added Jashim.

"Makeup" has been produced by Celebrity Productions.
