Popular streaming site Bongo is all set to combine works of Bangla literature and film through their Based on Books (BOB) project.

The Based on Books (BOB) project is gleaned from the adaptation of seven best selling books of Ekushey Book Fair 2020, read a press release. 

It will showcase the works of seven writers, Shahad-uz-Zaman, Sadat Hossain, Rahitul Islam, Shibabrata Barman, Mahbub Morshed, Jobaed Ahsan and Maruf Rehman.

They will be directed by seven eminent directors: Animesh Aich, Noor Imran Mithu, Iftekhar Ahmed Fahmi, Sanjoy Somaddar, Wahid Tareq, Vicky Zahed and Golam Haider Kisloo. 

The on-screen stories will be aired on Deepto, Ekushey, Gazi and Channel 9 television channels and streamed exclusively on Bongo's OTT platform. 

For the first time, actor Ilias Kanchan will be seen on the Bongo OTT platform. Moreover, Ishrat Jahan Chaiti, Azmeri Haque Badhon, Partha Barua, Manoj Pramanik, Mumtahina Toya, Ashna Habib Bhabna and many more senior and contemporary artists will be featured in the films.
