'Bangabandhu' biopic set under construction

The much anticipated biopic of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will start shooting soon. The erection of the first set for the movie has begun at BFDC. Indian director Shyam Benegal is at the helm while the film will be a joint venture by Bangladesh and India.

The film set is being erected at the 'Jahir Raihan Color Lab' at BFDC. Shooting of the film will take place at Kabirpur film city as well. Construction of the film set will also begin there shortly.

Actor Arifin Shuvoo will play the role of the father of the nation. However, Shuvo has not spoken to anyone about his involvement in the film.

'Battle for Bengal,' another film based on the life of Bangabandhu, will start shooting soon on the 1st, 2nd and 7th floor of BFDC. This film will be directed by Borhan Uddin.
