‘ACI Deepto Krishi Awards 2020’ honours agronomists

Deepto TV organised "ACI Deepto Krishi Awards 2020" to acknowledge farmers, who contributed to the country's agricultural advancement, on the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of Bangladesh's independence.
The gala event witnessed the winners accepting the award and also an array of wonderful performances by famous actors and actresses. The event aired live on Deepto TV at 4 pm yesterday, reads a press release.

The winners were announced in 10 categories.
The winners are:
Mamunur Rashid as the best fisherman award; Best poultry farmer award was presented to Noyon Selina; Best Agricultural Entrepreneur was won by Mohammad Kobbad Hossain; Best Agricultural Inventor award was received by Mohammad Nazrul Islam; Best Crop Grower award was given to Abu Chayed Rubel; Best Vegetable Farmer was won by Mohammad Badu Mia; Best Cattle Farmer award was given to Mohammad Abul Hasan Chowdhury Sagar; Best fruit gardener was received by Mohammad Matiur Rahman.

Best Social / Cooperative Agriculture award was presented to Dr Mohammad Raihan (PAA) and the best person contributing to agricultural education was given to Mohammad Jahangir Alam Shah

Agriculture minister Mohammad Abdur Razzaque and Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karom handed over the awards to the winners. Kazi Jahedul Hasan, managing director of Deepto TV and ACI Agro Business Managing Director and CEO FH Ansari were present on the occasion.
The award ceremony was hosted by actor Ferdous Ahmed and Purnima. The event showcased star-studded performances by actress Mahiya Mahi, Mehazabien Chowdhury, Nadiya, Chandni, Sinthiya, and Barish Haque. Folk singer Momtaz Begum also performed at the programme.
