20 films and their producers awarded Tk12 crore in govt allowance

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a gazette notification in this regard today, publishing the names of the selected films and their producers

The government has announced an allowance of Tk60 lakh each for 20 producers, with a view to patronising and supporting decent and artistic films.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting issued a gazette notification in this regard today, publishing the names of the selected films and their producers.

Considering the losses the film industry has sustained due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the government has decided to provide allowances to many more producers in fiscal year 2020-2021.

The films have been selected upon the unanimous decision of all the members of the "Full-length Feature Film Allowance Committee".
